Trade Drafts/Scrip Cards Trade Drafts: Function like checks Transfer trade dollars from one account to another Are used for medium to high-ticket items All sales tax,gratuities, and shipping/freight must be paid in cash by the purchaser at point of purchase Scrip Cards: Are purchased with trade dollars and are used for small-ticket, repeat business items. Merchants punch out the amounts used each visit rounded up or down to the next dollar for transaction amounts involving change. Used for repeat visits such as: Beauty Salons Oil Changes Restaurants Rounds of Golf Bowling Are available in denominations of $15, $50 or $100. All sales tax, gratuities and shipping/freight must be paid in cash by the purchaser at point of purchase. Gift Certificates: Are available to any Trade Winds Exchange restaurant or retail establishment in any desired amount. Are excellent sources for employee or client incentives, door prizes or personal gifts. How to Redeem Gift Certificates: This Gift Certificate is valid ONLY at the location specified on the certificate. Certificates may NOT be exchanged or redeemed for cash. Unused balances will be reissued to the certificate holder for use at a later date. Applicable taxes, shipping and gratuities must be paid in cash at the point of redemption. Amounts exceeding certificate total to be paid in cash at time of redemption. Certificates may not be used in conjunction with any promotional offers, coupons, etc. Certificates are valid for one year from date of issue.
